Duane M. Lightfoot, Sr. launched and unveiled his first publication in front of a standing room only crowd of over 400 dignitaries, business and community leaders at the Muhammad Ali Center on March 6, 2007. The follow year March 6, 2008 and proceeding years due to space requirements the official unveilings was hosted at historic Churchill Downs. On June 5, 2014 the official unveiling of Who’s Who Louisville: 2014 African American Profiles due to its continued growth will be unveiled at the KFC Yum! Center. Who’s Who Louisville annually sponsors and/or co-sponsors several events during the year that offer great opportunities for businesses and the community to connect to build relationships for business, social and networking opportunities for the economic and social development of Metro Louisville. A recent event entitled “Redeem the Dream” was hosted at Fourth Street Live which brought together young up-coming and inspiring African American professionals ages 25 to 35 years old with seasoned and accomplished African American professionals ages 50+ years old to discuss individual and business growth and development. In February 2014 co-hosted a breakfast meeting and networking event on safe and healthy neighbors. The panel consisted of the Deputy Chief of Louisville Police, Director of Public Health and Mayor’s Director for Safe Neighborhoods. We also hosted a large event at Papa John’s entitled “Divercity” for the Hispanic and Latino community discussing the business demands of today’s changing world through education, embracing the benefits of diversity ensuring equality, competitiveness and success. Who’s Who Louisville has donated books to every public and catholic school in Jefferson County as well as several youth, social and civic organizations. The publication is currently on the shelves at all Louisville Free Public Libraries. Publisher Duane M.
